My newest movie.

Well, I made a movie for film class and it was a 35 picture narrative. It tells a romance story so you can see it if you want. I basically want you guys to comment on the progression (or flow of the movie) and the photography used in it. It's mainly portrait shots so thats the kind of photography you will see. I got good reviews from my classmates, I want to see what you guys think. [link]

I recently participated in a photography contest for the OrangeBowl, sponsored by pitman photo. I attended the award ceremony where they had the gallery set up of all the various pieces. There were 3 categories and a ton of submissions from students like us.

There was a particular portrait that was recognized as best in show and praised for its technical aesthetics, however it was evident to all that the artist had done a lot of work on the piece. It was a crisp and I mean everything was in perfect focus, and the skin of the girls face, her lips even had the perfect texture that felt like you could kiss her. Yet despite the technical mastery that he showed, I think the judges were looking for more "natural" photography, seemly unedited save for subtleties. SO I think your portraits here would have given them quite a difficult choice.

They are excellent in the way that they are gentle depiction of natural realities in the likeness of photojournalism. And they are very good.

Wow. I don't know what to say but thank you. I don't think i have ever gotten a compliment like that. Not to brag but i have never done portraits before the pictures you see now. My photography instructor says I seem to have a talent for it. I just like taking pictures and I plan on posting more soon. Thanks Rev!
